Project Overview

Your grandfather, a world-renowned magician, mysteriously vanished during his final performance. Teenagers, Ryland and Harlee, have a hard time accepting that he’s passed while the rest of the family has moved on.

Years later, Harlee receives a letter in the mail saying that the Metropolitan theater your grandpa owned and last was seen alive at is for sale.

Siblings Ryland and Harlee meet at Maple’s Diner in Bluewoods to stop the sale of the theater and figure out what exactly happened during his final show.
They reminisce about the town they grew up in, and go to places grandpa used to take them.

Using a journal they’re given of Grandpa’s, players step in enigmatic, fantasy feeling memories of grandpa’s past. Seeing when he met grandma, his raise to fame, and also his struggle with depression. Players work together to solve puzzles and save the theater. But also learn to piece together grandpa’s mental state and come to terms with their own grief.

Told with the stages of grief, this three act intergenerational story follows Harlee and Ryland as they work through the complex emotions of loss and letting go.
